I live on the edge of Calne, having moved here from Chippenham about five years ago. Wiltshire has always been home to me – I’ve lived in Lacock, Chippenham, and now Calne over the past 38 years. I went to Sheldon School in Chippenham and later studied business information technology at Wiltshire College. In my professional life, I’m a senior executive responsible for keeping information and technology secure in this ever-changing digital world.
I’ve been serving on Wiltshire Council since 2017. I started by representing a division in Chippenham and then, after moving, I was elected to represent Calne Rural in 2021. It’s truly an honour to represent the rural parishes around Calne and I love working for the community and the wider Wiltshire residents by ensuring that Wiltshire Council works for you. It’s not always easy and many difficult decisions are made, especially with the challenges local government faces these days, like inflation and the increasing demands on services, particularly in adult and children’s social care.
My aim is to ensure that Wiltshire Council provides the most efficient services and best value for money to our residents so that they can go about their daily lives with minimal interference or impact from the services the Council provides, and make sure that those that do require enhanced or additional support from the Council are supported appropriately.
