Hello, I am Alison Broome, and I’m excited to stand as your Conservative candidate in the upcoming local election in May 2025. My reason for standing is that I love our community and am keen to give something back and to make a real difference in all our lives. As your local candidate, and hopefully as your Councillor, I will work tirelessly for our area.
Having lived in the local area for over 20 years with my husband, Stuart, we experience all the challenges local residents like you also face. Whether it’s speeding, dangerous parking, potholes, or antisocial behaviour, I’m committed to finding solutions that work for us.
I will work alongside our two parish councils of Lydiard Millicent, and Lydiard Tregoz, and the town council in Royal Wootton Bassett and will act as a conduit between them and the unitary authority. My experience working with residents and campaigning for change as a former Parish Councillor will help me work as part of a team in the best interest of all. As your Wiltshire Councillor candidate, and if elected Councillor, my focus will be on you, the resident.
With a background in telecommunications and experience supporting bereaved families in our community, I bring a unique blend of skills and empathy to the table. I’m a good listener, and I’m passionate about helping people. Let’s work together to make our community an even better place to live and work!
